DEC 30 (WTN) – You must have heard about mineral water and packaged drinking water. But hardly have you known the difference between these two. Always remember, every packed drinking water is not mineral water. If you are asked to tell the brand of mineral water, then your answer will be Bisleri, Kinli or Aquafina etc. But for your information, let you know that these are not mineral water, but they are all packaged drinking water. We tell you the brands of mineral water, these are Himalayan, Bisleri Vedika, Catch, Kwa etc. First of all, we tell you what packaged drinking water is. Actually, packaged drinking water is the normal water coming from the tap, which is filtered and cleansed from the chemical process, and packed. Adding mineral elements to this water depends on the bottling company. Some companies mix and nothing else.
Now tell you about mineral water. Just as the name implies that mineral water means water rich with mineral elements. That is, this water is taken from natural water sources where many beneficial minerals are found in the water. There is a lot of difference between this water and tap water.
These natural sources of water, waterfalls and fountains are full of special salts and minerals from the soil and stone of that place. Such water is good in both health and taste.
BIS means the Bureau of Indian Standards is the standard institution of India which sets different standards in every field. BIS has given different types standard to different types of water. As if the bottle is the marked of IS: 14543, then it is packaged drinking water, while the bottle on which IS: 13428 is marked, it is mineral water.
