‘2.0’ Hindi BO: Rajini-Akshay Film Remains Robust on Day 2
Shankar’s 2.0 is being hailed as a VFZ extravaganza, even though some people are complaining about the weak story line. The film brings Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar on the big screen for the first time. According to trade analyst, Taran Adarsh the Hindi version of the film earned Rs 20 crore at the box office on Day 1 and went on to earn Rs 18 crore on the second day of its release.
As per reports, the first day of the film saw huge footfalls in cinema halls across the board. From this tweet by the makers, it seems the film is performing well at the box-office.
Trade analyst Girish Johar told The Indian Express, “The Hindi version of the film is expected to earn something between Rs 20-25 crore on the day of its release. If we consider all languages (Tamil and Telugu), the Rajinikanth starrer will touch Rs 100 crore (gross) mark on day one.”
We will have to see how the film performs at the box-office!
Akshay Kumar plays a menacing baddie in the film and Rajinikanth plays the role of Dr. Vashikaran and robot Chitti. The film also features Amy Jackson in the role of a humanoid named Lina. Akshay Kumar is Pakshiraaj, an ornithologist battling it out against telecom service providers for the sake of birds’ existence.
The film showcases a visual spectacle in the form of a battle between Chitti and Pakshiraaj as the latter tries to remove mobile technology from the face of the planet and also those who come in his way.
