1984 anti-Sikh riots case: Congress biggest enemy of Sikhs, says Sukhbir Singh Badal
Sangrur (Punjab), Dec 17 (ANI): Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Congress leader Sajjan Kumar’s conviction in a case related to 1984 anti-Sikh riots on Monday launched a scathing attack on Congress and said that the party is the biggest enemy of Sikh community. Sukhbir Singh Badal said, “For 34 years Shiromani Akali Dal has been fighting for justice for Sikhs. But every time, Congress saved the perpetrators of riots. Today High Court’s judge too in his judgment wrote that Sajjan Kumar has killed thousands of Sikhs. Judge wrote that Sajjan Kumar was being saved from conviction by political patronage. On Rajiv Gandhi’s order, Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler killed thousands of Sikhs. No party can be as big enemy as Congress is; even High court gave their verdict.”
